Christmas decorations don’t have to be metallic and shiny – get inspired by seasonal plants and trees…
Check out how creatively some of the staff in the School of Childhood and Education Sciences decorated their office – not a piece of tinsel in sight! Striking decorations can be made by draping branches of holly and twigs around windows or doorways and placing small logs, bits of bark and some pine cones on window sills. Thinner sheets of bark can be used to cover a shape or carving– like the stunning deer in the photo below.
At this time of year, you could find some potentially decorative stuff on the ground during a walk in the woods. We’re in for a mild Christmas this year; so make your own individual and impressive-looking snowflakes to put on windows by cutting small shapes into folded scrap paper. Merry Christmas!!!
