Fairtrade Fortnight

Last week was the first of two weeks celebrating and raising awareness of Fairtrade across the UK. If you’d like to take a step towards supporting Fairtrade this year, go here to find out how: http://step.fairtrade.org.uk/

You’re probably already buying more ethical produce and Fairtrade than you know. Do you ever drop by the Touchdown for lunch, for example? Fairtrade tea and coffee and hot chocolate, right there.

Anyway, here’s what some of you were getting up on Friday:

A vintage tea party going on outside of Powell on the lawn.

A cake sale (and banana bash) in the Student Union

A Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory in the Food Court. (They had chocolate fountains!)

A pastry sale in the quad!

And a treasure hunt across the uni, based in the Touchdown Cafe!
